In ear headphones are also called earphones, and you’ll usually find them included when you buy an iPod or MP3 player. These headphones are small and fit into the canal of the ears. They are very portable; you can just stuff them anywhere, even in your pocket!
Those that come with your MP3 player probably doesn’t perform really well and if you wanted the best out of your music, you’re better off spending some money to get a pair of decent in-ear headphones that gives a punch in the bass and treble.
You’d be using these in ear headphones when traveling outdoors, so sound isolation would be nice too, since you don’t want to turn up the volume to an unhealthy level just to drown out surrounding noises.
Here are two models of the best in ear headphones. I can’t really decide which one is better; each has its merits.

Denon AHC751K In-ear Headphones
Simple and small but comes with great performance. These are really comfortable to wear. I think it’s great that these come with 3 sizes to choose from, and all three are included in the box! One reviewer said that he actually wears different sizes on each ear. Read the Denon AHC751K In-ear Headphones review here.
Shure E4c Headphones

Shure E4c Headphones
The performance of these in ear headphones will blow you out. Even poor quality MP3 tracks sounded wonderful with these, and good quality tracks sounded even better. The sound isolation is superb. You can listen to music at a low volume and still get full clarity. Read the full review of Shure E4c Headphones here.
